Who wants that kind of success? What are online daters looking for? Sorry those are both questions and not answers.
The stereotypes of small, short and nonathletic probably have an impact there.
The odds of finding someone who will see someone for their individuality rather than compared to others online is like trying to find a sober person in the bar scene. You’re looking in the wrong place.

My experience with dating an Asian man was through a classified ad in a newspaper years ago. He was of Chinese origin. On one date he took me to a Chinese restaurant and on the other he cooked for me at home. He was good looking, polite and pleasant, but rather introverted and did not “make a move” on me. After the second date we just both let it go.
I did date another Chinese boy and he was a very sexy dancer and a good kisser. We met because of our mutual interest in the theater and because we both had a part-time job at the university library. We stopped seeing each other because he was bisexual and preferred men.
Although it is true that many people who look for love through classified ads are shallow and care only about how much money the man makes or how tall he is, I believe it is also possible to meet really nice people in this way. The important thing is to keep trying, not give up. I have found it good to present the ad as looking for friendship rather than love. Real love should be based on friendship anyway. I also am no top model and so people who are looking for tall, skinny blondes don´t write to me. But if someone writes because I am interesting as a person, then sometimes when they meet me, they no longer mind that I am no sex goddess, but a woman who is attractive to them in spite of the fact that I do not match their list of things they want (blue eyes or whatever). I like this old song:
“She´s got curly hair, I never cared for curly hair, but she´s got curly hair, that´s my weakness now.”

Most likely it’s because people are not as open-minded as they think (or pretend) they are. When they get to look at profiles and choose who they want to pursue, if they have an Asian male who matches them and a white male who matches them, current male beauty standards in America lead women to choose the white male. Actually, current American beauty standards will lead women to choose ALL other races of men over Asian males.

Unfortunately there are a lot of negative stereotypes surrounding Asian males (quiet, shy, unassertive, nerdy, perverted, asexual, not well endowed, etc.), and women, subconciously or consciously, are affected by these stereotypes and tend to prefer other men. Also, Asian men in the media are not often portrayed as the sexy male character, so people tend to overlook them in real life. This is the general view. There are exceptions!

Asian men are very conservative that’s why they don’t fully appreciate online dating. Most of them want serious relationships rather than simply flirting. And being serious means they want to see their girls personally and be with them to know each other more.

I don’t have the need for an online dating site. The money thing you listed is funny, you would have to be a virgin to believe it.
